“Freeing your voice is the most essential thing to healing your emotions and transforming your life.”
My Philosophy
Our bodies are music. The beating of our hearts like drums, the humming of our circulatory system like a gentle meditative “ohm,” the brass-like quality of our rumbling stomachs are the music of life. When we hear these innately familiar sounds outside of our bodies, especially in an organized fashion, we intuitively recognize them as a beat, a hum, a rumble.
However, we live in a world where disconnection from our bodies is common. In many daily arenas, doing is valued over being. The traumas of life experiences further complicate and fray this tenuous connection with ourselves. My goal and desire with my clients is to bridge the gap between the music that is outside of us with the music that is already within us. Once we connect to the music that is our bodies, we are then able to create and connect more potently outside of ourselves.
The way to bridge this gap is through intentional breath work and deep release exercises. Through this process, I have seen students transform their voices, their health, and their lives.
As a person who has had past struggles with health, vocal trauma, and performance anxiety, I am able to connect to clients with compassion and understanding. Through private online lessons, I give clients specific tools to help them alleviate their anxiety when they need to do public speaking/presentations in their jobs. I help clients voice and release trauma, teaching singing in a way that connects them to their bodies as well as to their audience. If you think you would benefit from more freedom in your voice and body, I would love to know your story and work with you.
